In order to correctly dimension an emergency lighting system it is necessary to use software which calculates the lighting in relation to the luminaires used.
Cooper Csa in cooperation with OxyTech, offers free of charges upon request LITESTAR Open 9.0, a professional program for lighting engineering calculation which allows, through a few and simple steps, to obtain the values of lighting in regular and irregular environments.
LITESTAR Open 9.0 is free (freeware) and can be used without limit. The program offers the possibility of automatically importing the photometric data in Eulumdat format, IESNA 86-91-95, LTLI and Cisbe TM14.
Is also support the import of photometric data in FDB format and from catalogue MDB OxyTech or manual input.
With LITESTAR Open 9.0 it is sufficient to set the dimensions, height and colour of the walls, and then choose the kind of luminaire to use directly from the list or consulting the electronic catalogue. Place the luminaires in the room and start the calculation. After a few seconds the computer will give a series of results: isolux curves, schedule of lighting and 3-dimensional diagrams, from which it will be possible to create a project in PDF format.
Installing LITESTAR Open 9.0 you will have immediate availability of all the devices produced by Cooper Csa.
Furthermore, thanks to the automatic internet updates, it is possible to import photometric data from other lighting manufactures; it could be useful in fact to use in the same project common devices and emergency luminaires.
